Why be bored when you can be board … gaming? Come to Oshkosh, October 26th through the 28th, for NEWGame 2018 – the Oshkosh gaming convention from Northeast Wisconsin Gameapalooza!

NEWGame 2018 is Oshkosh’s annual gaming convention. The event was first held in 2013, a brainchild of the Polyhedral Underground, a group of gamers who felt Oshkosh really needed a gaming convention. Apparently they were right! While the event is only 6 years old, it grows larger every year. Hundreds of eager board game and RPG players from around the region now come to Oshkosh every October to attend the event.

The NEWGame 2018‎ gaming convention offers a wide variety of games to play and friendly opponents to challenge. The schedule contains dozens of board game and RPG events.

Attractions & Events

The Mil-Cog Game Library will be on hand with literally thousands of games to choose from. Find an old favorite or pick out something entirely new!

Another returning attraction is the Escape Room. The Escape Room is a physical adventure game set in the real world where players must solve a series of puzzles or riddles in a set time to “escape” the room. A good challenge and great fun.

NEWGame 2018‎ will also feature an Artemis Starship Bridge Simulator! Try your hand at a station on the Artemis’s bridge in the ultimate space adventure LAN party game.

NEWGame 2018 will also host a Silent Auction. Place your bid on games, gaming accessories, miniatures, and other cool items.

This year’s event will be better than ever at its new venue: Reeve Memorial Union on the UW Oshkosh Campus. This larger space allows all vendors and most gaming events to be in one large area. Reeve Memorial Union also offers a food court, coffee shop, convenience store, and other amenities.

Gaming conventions are a great place to discover new games and new, gaming friends and NEWGame 2018 is no exception.
